Shreyaan Ishaan Educational society - Dr. Umesh Akkaladevi BHMS a successful homeopathic practitioner

Dr.  Umesh Akkaladevi, BHMS, is born to Late Sri Balaram and Smt. Shakuntala Akkaladevi in Rajapet of Nalgonda (Yadadri) Dist., Telangana. In spite of coming from the background of a weaver’s family, his parents dreamed of seeing him as a graduate in medicine. With their struggle, sacrifice and noble blessings he took the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) degree in 1998.

After serving as a Medical Officer in several departments at Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda, Hyderabad for 2 years (1998-2000), Dr. Umesh took Medical Transcription as his career for 2 years (2000-2002). He had gained extensive knowledge of the conventional medical practices, both in India and the US during this period.

He was associated with the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections in 2004 where he took charge of the election office and got to interact with the people of Vikarabad constituency. Though on a political front, it gave him insights into the different lifestyles, cultures and extensive knowledge about the socio-economic and health-related problems of people living in that region and went on to serve in the coalition government as Personal Assistant to the then Minister for Minor Irrigation from July 2004 to August 2005.

He started homeopathic practice on 6th September, 2006 in Kothapet, Hyderabad. Since then, it was no looking back in his career as a successful homeopathic practitioner where he had gained extensive knowledge about the diseases, and expertise of dealing with the incurable. The success stories with homeopathy while researching into the levels of failure in other systems of medicine drew more and more patients who consulted him after their previous treatments had failed. Though the success gave him name and fame, he made sure that the treatment is simple and never a waste of money and time to the patient.

The Motivation

There’s a saying, great things begin with an idea. But we believe that, even before the idea is born, there is a curious question that disputes the present state of things and ask, “Can there be a way to make things better? Is this how it is supposed to be?”

With the current system of medicine, focus is merely on treating the symptoms of an unfortunately acquired medical condition, and there is little or no inquiry into the root cause of the condition. The system believes that diseases are result of microbial action, weather and environmental conditions, food factors and other ‘probable’ external causes whereas Homeopathy focuses on the principles of immune system and believe that diseases are mere manifestations of a deeper imbalance and medicines work on improving the individual’s immune mechanism because “No two individuals are alike and hence no two conditions are the same”.

To bring this system of medicine into availability he envisioned to establish an institution to train young science graduates in Homeopathy and “Hamsa Homeopathy Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre” was born.
